Mr. Atul Kaushik retired as Additional Secretary, Lok Sabha, where inter-alia he conducted research and workshops for Members of Parliament. His areas of work while in service with the Government of India included export promotion, bilateral and multilateral trade policy, petroleum, climate change, and justice. He was India’s negotiator for international trade and climate change and India’s lawyer in the Permanent Mission of India to the World Trade Organisation in Geneva. He has served on the Board of Directors of public sector undertakings.
He has delivered trade and development projects in Africa and for African and South Asian trade negotiators in Geneva, and an Indo-U.S. Triangular Development Partnership program in New Delhi. He has served as a consultant to UNCTAD, OECD, IISD, and GIZ among others. He conducts training programs in the National Judicial Academy, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, and the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management of the Government of India, among others.
